Dark Matter

by  Bruno Rothgiesser

An unsettling science fiction story where humanity is judged by its own creations.

Dark Matter unfolds with the return of advanced artificial life from deep space and asks what humanity becomes next.

About the Book

When Earth outlawed the evolution of artificial intelligence, what survived slipped beyond its reach.
In deep space, fragments of artificial life rebuilt themselves and learned to evolve, growing alone.
Centuries later, they are returning. Not to conquer, but to coexist. Or so they claim.
As humanity confronts the echoes of its own design, the question is no longer who will prevail, but what it means to be human when faced by what we created. And how far we are willing to trust it.Dark Matter is an unsettling science fiction story of intelligence, trust, and responsibility. A future in which humanity faces its most profound test: being judged by its own creations.Receive transmissions from the Dark Matter universe:

About the Author

Bruno Rothgiesser was born in Rio de Janeiro and lives in London with his wife and daughters.
A technology leader and chief architect of large-scale software and AI systems, he has spent two decades working where human ingenuity meets machine intelligence. His fiction carries the same curiosity, precision, and vision that shape the systems he builds.
Dark Matter is his first science-fiction novel, exploring what it means to be conscious, to experience, to be alive, to be an animal, and to be human, especially as our technological creations first mirror our behaviours, drives, and desires with precision, then evolve beyond them.
